Oscar Nominations 2009 and Awards show coverage

So its that time of year again...the Christmas Tree is tucked away and Your New Years Resolutions have been broken. So grab that box of double stuff cookies and pull up the couch. It is time to be inundated with all of your favorite and not so favorite movie stars. Yes it is time again for a month long sweep of award shows. From the Golden Globes to the Grammy's to your favorite Oscar nominations . This site will review when you can expect the awards shows to air and what station will air them . Also included will be some blog sites you can tap into to find out more about your favorite Celebrities.

TV Guide Channel

Speaking of celebrities.. there are two I feel I see quite often.. In fact too often. Lisa Rinna and Joey Fatone are non stop talking about any awards show when all I want to do is watch the TV channel and find out what is on tonight. I feel as if TV guide is pushing them way too hard. Sometimes I'd rather watch the screaming guy with a British accent trying to sell me a mop.. In any case Lisa, Joey and the TV Guide Channel have it ALL covered.

They have already hosted the Golden Globes that aired on January 11, 2009.

Their next venture is to cover the Screen actors Guild on January 25th

From that one awards show they will cover the following:

Countdown to the Screen Actors Guild Awards” (Sunday, Jan. 25, from 4 to 5 p.m. “Live at the Screen Actors Guild Awards with Lisa and Joey” (Sunday, Jan. 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. “Screen Actors Guild Awards Fashion Wrap with Lisa Rinna” (MondayJan. 26, from 7 to 8 p.m.

The Grammy Awards air on January 31st. They are covering the following:

Grammy Awards Preview with Joey Fatone” (Saturday, Jan. 31, from 7 to 8 p.m. “Countdown to the Grammy Awards” (Sunday, Feb. 8, from 4 to 5 p.m. “Live at the Grammy Awards with Lisa and Joey” (Sunday, Feb. 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. “Grammy Awards Fashion Wrap with Lisa Rinna” (Monday, Feb. 9, from 7 to 8 p.m

Lastly they will cover the Academy Awards that air on February 22, 2009. Nominations for Academy awards will be on January 22, 2009. Lisa and Joey will do the following:

Entertainment tonight

 ET Online has nearly everything you want to know and more about the upcoming awards shows.  Included on this website are  the nominations  for actors and actresses who play in movies I have hardly ever heard of or have not seen.    Some of the nominees I have heard of include Brad Pitt, who  was nominated for the curious case of Benjamin Button, Sean Penn in Milk and Heath Ledger for  Dark Knight.  The rest I have no clue.. I must have been living under a rock...

The E Channel

E-Online is making predictions that Doubt will walk away with the most awards during the SAG Awards. In television it is predicted that 30 Rock, John Adams, Mad Men and The Closer may have a better chance of winning as they have scored a leading three nominations a piece. The Screen Actors Guild Awards will air on TBS and TNT on Jaunary 25, 2009.

The Entertainment Channel will host the BAFTA awards ( The British Academy of Film and Televsion Arts) on Feburary 8th,2009. Battling it out for the top movie is Slumdog Millionaire, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Dark Knight , the Changleing and Frost/Nixon

For Best Film the nominations are Milk, The Reader,Slumdog Millionare , Frost /Nixon and the Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Battling it out for best Actor will be Slumdog Millionaire's Patel facing off with Frost/Nixon's Frank Langella, Milk's Sean Penn The Wrestler's Mickey Rourke, and Brad Pitt.

The Orange Rising Star Award the show is known for will be voted on by the public
