Cursing Baby Doll Anyone?

By Ms Chievous

As someone who writes about toys, I could not pass up the opportunity to write about this bit of news. It seems that there is a baby doll on the market that is not as sweet as it looks! The You and Me Interactive Triplet dolls are causing quite a fuss. It is reported that the dolls can be heard saying "You crazy bitch!"

Oh and by the way.. if you are sensitive to hearing curse words.. then be warned. You will hear cursing toys in this hub!

There is a great demand for these dolls to be pulled off the shelves as they only sold exclusively at Toys R Us. In an article by the Huffington Post it is reported that Toys R Us will not be taking these items off the shelves. The Toy Store giant maintains that the doll is just making baby talk and not using curse words. This toy is marketed to children two and up! Already lawyers such as Joey McCutchen from Arkansas are suing Toys R Us on the grounds of negligence and misrepresentation.

Give a listen for yourself! Do you hear curse word coming from this babes mouth? I have included several videos so you can hear. I think I definitely hear a curse word. What about you?

Big Deal or Not?

Should Toys R Us take the You and Me Interactive Giggle Triplet dolls off the shelves?

It seems every year about this time we hear about a toy or two that say swear words and don't act like a toy should! After some research I found out that last year some very bored person found out how to make their child's toy phone curse., The video is below! Also Leap Frog had a video in 2006 that claimed there were cuss words. However I was not hearing the same thing as the people who posted so i did not include it.

The second video is of a toy dog... You have to wait to nearly the end of the video to hear the toy curse! This is definitely a puppy with an attitude!

Cursing phone

What did he say?????

As for the cursing baby doll it is difficult not to hear the offensive words once they are in your head. I think that sales will be affected whether or not the toy is cursing or not! The question is whose responsibility is it to fix this problem? The Toy store or the manufacturer?

What do you think about this "cursing baby doll?"

I think this is revolting! Our children are exposed to enough crap in this world without having cute toys coming out with cursing! I agree with other contributors - pull the toys from the shelves and parents should make their feelings known about these toys. Is there no end to what some companies will do to make money - they make me sick! Thanks for sharing this information + voted up!

Thank you very much Ms Chievous, for the heads up. I've never even heard of this, and wouldn't have if not for you. I liked it on Facebook, to hopefully help get the message out. You see, I actually like these dolls, but not this version. Very good, keep up the good work. Voted up, useful, interesting.

One might think that the consumer(s) would understand common sense. This particular company(business) has decided to produce/manufacture this type of product to the consumer(s). It is up to the consumer(s) to decide whether or not, this product is suitable for their child. It boils down to the parents, knowing what is right. By NOT purchasing the product, it sends a message to others that the product has no place in the market. Voted up! :)

Find out what company is making these toys and the distrbuter and strike hard and quick and make them pay. Bad enough hard-core-rap and reality TV has children and adults programmed to bad behavior, we don't need dolls and shit bringing up the rear. All of this plays into the plot of breaking down the American family, especially the urban families or whats left of them. Expect Toys R Us etc., to be in deniel or just arrogantly say they're not taking them down.

Hi, Ms. C. We all know that kids tend to model the behavior of others. Enough said!

I think the dolls should be pulled off the shelves. Children learn to swear soon enough without having to hear it from their toys.
