Here is a list of makeup tips with plenty of video to help you look your best.Tips include how to apply eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara. Find out what eyeshadow colr best enhances your eye color.
Make up tip 1; Prep your Eyes!
There can be so many steps to having gorgeous eyes!. The first step is to prep your eyes. You may need to use concealer to cover under the eye circles. Start under your eye where the circles are darkest and then work your way to the outer eye using your fingertips. You can also use a sponge application as well. It is recommended that you pat not rub the concealer for a better finish. You may also need to apply a base coverage to your eyelid so that your make up stays in place and last longer! if you do not apply base the yield may get a crease In it.
Make up Tip 2 ; Choosing Eye Shadow
There are thousands of eye shadows to choose form. You need to find one that will compliment your eye color. Keep in mind that lighter shades will make your eyes look natural while darker shades will bring out a more dramatic effect. For Brown Eyes a shade of plum, blue grey, vanilla, violet and nutmeg are recommended. Metallic s such as gold or gold bronze wil also make your eyes stand out!
Blue eyed gals need to get eye shadows that contrast to their eye color. Pinks, taupe's, camel, grey, violets and dark browns just to name a few really make your eyes look blue.
Green eyed Gals need to use shades of plums, lilacs, dark greens and browns. try to avoid some blues pinks, whites and silvers. See below for some more tips on choosing complimentary colors for your eyes.
Make up tips for Asian eyes
1. Apply light eyeshadows on your eyelids. Use lighter shadow in the inner half and darker one in the outer half
2. To enchance the eyelid surface, apply a light shade under the brow area then divide the eye in half vertically
3. Use a pencil to make a thick smoky line along upper eyelashes and a thinner line under the lower eyelashes.
4. Cover your eyelashes with mascara.
Make up tip 3 ; Applying Eyeshadow
Three toned shadows are best when trying to accent your eyes!. Take the light color of your three toned shadow and sweep it across your eyelid up to the brow bone with applicator . Follow up with a medium color across your lid and then blend in the darker color in the crease.
Not only should you consider the color of your eyes when purchasing eye shadow you should also consider the shape of your eyes. There are make -up tricks for almost every kind of eyes!.
Make up Tips for Close set eyes
For close set eyes the trick is to make them seem wider apart. You want to emphasize the outer corner of the eye with the eyeshadow. Use and eyeliner to to draw attention to the outer corner of the eye also put mascara on the lashes at the out corner of the eye!
Make up tips for wider set eyes
For wider set eyes you do the opposite! Place your dark eyeshadow on the inner parts of the eyes. Apply a light eyeshadow on two thirds of the eye. Use eyeliner to draw a thin line on both the top and bottom of the eyes. Pencil in your eyebrows a little closer!
Make up Tip 4; Choosing eyeliner
Choose an eyeliner based on you eye color. For brown eyed gals a gold , brown or plum color works. Try to make the eyeliner match the eyeshadow. With that being said it is also recommended brown-eyed gals try a pink eyeliner to really make eyes pop! Brown eyed gals should try to avoid black eyeliner as it is too heavy for them!
The rule for eyeliner for blue eyes is the darker the eyeliner the better. A liner that is not dark will tend to make eyes fade! Black, brown, charcoal, dark Green and dark blue would be best! Avoid applying a blue eyeliner for blue eyes!.
Green eyed gals need to choose a warm color of eyeliner, browns, plums and bronze. It is best ot avoid black eyeliner.
Applying eyeliner
When using an eyeliner you want to get as close to the upper lid as possible from the inner corner to the outer corner of the eye. You don't want a straight line so you want to smudge it a little using a q-tip or the applicator at the other end of the eyeliner. Also for a more smoky eye effect you may want to use the applicator and apply a dark eyeshadow over the eyeliner.
Apply a highlighter
Take a pink or gold highlighter and make a V shape from the inner corner of your eye to the outer corner. Apply to make your eyes pop!
Curl lashes
This is optional, but you may want to use a eyelash curler before applying mascara. The eyelash curler should have foam on it as so not to break or bend your eyelashes. Using an eyelash curler can help you brighten your eyes.
Make up Tip 5; Apply Mascara
You apply mascara by taking your wands and wiggling it back and forth while applying ti to your eyes. This ensures coverage of the lashes and give your lases a fuller effect. There are several different colors of mascara. Use the colors listed about ve for your eye color when choosing a mascara for your eyes! Blue eyes look good in a blue mascara. Green eyes look great in a dark brown mascara!

Colors that compliment blue eyes.
There are all sorts of shades of blue eyes therefore there are all sorts of shades that will compliment them. Light blue eyes are accented best by lighter colors. Lavender and pearly light grays can bring them out. Do not overpower a light colored blue eye with darker colors! A dark blue eye can be enhanced by a deep purple for a dramatic look or a smoldering gray. For a medium eye go with a complimentary color of a sheer gold or peach. I find for a great day look to any blue eye use a shimmering pearl peach or a shadow with golden hues do the best to bring out my blue!
Colors that compliment brown eyes
For the darkest of brown eyes it is important not to overdo the color. Dark colors will work well for you but apply them correctly. A medium brown eye is easy to dress up. mauves or greens are very pretty. Light brown eyes are very dramatic with a light shimmery color. Even a pale yellow has been known to look good!
Colors that Compliment Green Eyes
Green eyes look amazing with a red based eyeshadow. Purples and lilac colors will make them pop! it is recommended that the darker colors go on the eye lid while the lighter colors are used more for the brow area. A plum eyeliner will add definition to your eyes, especially if they sag or have droopy corners.

Peel and Stick eyeshadows
Now what about those peel and stick eye shadows we have seen at the stores? It looks amazing easy and good.. on a model! What about us everyday people? the concept is the eye shadow goes on much like a tattoo. You peel the applicator form the card and place it on your eye. You rub the applicator with your index finger and smooth over the entire surface. Peel the applicator away form the face. In some cases you have to blend the colors. It is recommended that you not do it when you have a design. I have never tried it however some reviewers are saying the colors are really intense or the eye shadow does not completely come off of the applicator.
